Electronic auctions

Since July 2023, Les Producteurs de bovins du Québec have been offering an innovative marketing method for feeder calves: the electronic auction. Developed by the feeder calf marketing committee in collaboration with The Electronic Auction Market, this platform allows producers to offer their feeder calves for sale to buyers across the country.

The electronic auction sales calendar is available on the PBQ’s electronic auction platform ans on the Facebook page of Les producteurs de veaux d’embouche du Québec.

Electronic auctions are open only to producers who are able to sell at least 10 calves of the same sex with a maximum of 200 lbs. in weight difference.

To list calves for sale, producers must:

• • Read and sign the conditions of sale and purchase
  • Complete and sign the registration form
  • Take photos and/or videos of the feeder calves to be marketed
  • Send all of the above to veaudembouche@upa.qc.ca
