Organic Cattle
Our sales agency organizes the marketing of organic livestock through a dedicated channel and negotiates an agreement and a price grid with the buyer. The number of cattle accepted is determined by buyer demand.
Cull cattle must be delivered on Mondays to the Le Bic, Saint-Hyacinthe, or Saint-Isidore auction houses. Producers in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region may deliver cull cattle to the Saint-Hyacinthe auction house on the first Wednesday of the month. Producers must record cull cattle deliveries directly in the TeamUp calendar no later than noon on the Thursday before the delivery date. The sales agency will send a delivery confirmation email no later than the Friday before the delivery date.
Certification :
Once per year, you must email the organic certificate from your certification body to agencebrvl@upa.qc.ca. “Cull dairy cattle” must appear on the certificate. Accordingly, you must register with the sales agency before sending an animal for the first time.
Only cull cattle may be sent in the usual channel. However, if you have calves or fed cattle, you have the option to contact us to make an agreement with the buyer.
We invite you to contact the sales agency for any further information at 450-679-0540, ext. 8361, or by email at agencebrvl@upa.qc.ca.
